We engaged Build 42° to build a new home office space, as we own two successful businesses, for us it was essential our new office was spacious, functional and beautiful… an inviting calm space where we could efficiently work alongside each other, have in-person client and staff meetings where everyone feels welcome and comfortable, without encroaching on our private family space. 

This new extension to our family home meant our laundry would become redundant so a new laundry became a second extension that Will and Nick built simultaneously with our new office. 

Our greatest concerns were keeping on-budget, the availability of construction materials, and the impact of running our businesses during the renovation. 

What we found was Nick and Will were brilliant. 

From our first meeting and estimation to finished build, they not only listened to our concerns, but they communicated clearly and openly about costs every step of the way. They were quick to order and took efficient delivery of materials, credit to them as the timing was tricky after Covid with the availability of materials and increasing prices.

Will and Nick, their team and contractors, were very respectful of our need to keep running our businesses as well as living as a family in our home… it was a pretty busy few months but everyone got on well, to the point we missed seeing them once construction finished!

The results are fantastic. 

Our new office and laundry are built beautifully - the quality of workmanship, attention to detail, the warmth and sturdiness, and the functionality of the spaces is something we both appreciate and love. 

We were also pleasantly surprised by how these two extensions fit so well with our existing home, as if these were always part of the original house. 

The overall construction came within our budget and within the contractual build timeframe. 

We attribute this to Nick and Will’s experience within the industry, ability to efficiently problem solve, openly communicate, provide sound advice so we could make decisions quickly and mitigate unnecessary changes, engage quality contractors, eager to work in a happy environment where everyone feels valued, dedication to their work, and their commitment to quality craftsmanship.
